This highly emotional raga has to be played in the evening time and misses out the tonic and dominant on ascension. It is actually a combination of 2 ragas Puria & Dhanashri and the above ragamala painting is not of this raga but of its parent scale (called Thaat) Purvi. Its Vadi and Samvadi are C & G respectively.
